Abstract

The paper analyzes modern weaponry through the application of SWOT analysis and multi-criteria decision-making based on the AHP method. Depending on the degree to which modern technological factors are incorporated into weapon production, the possibilities for their use under different conditions are determined. The objective of the research is to identify and rank the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that shape the development and application of modern weaponry. By combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, a comprehensive framework was established for assessing the strategic, technical, and security implications of new technologies applied in modern weapon systems. The results indicate that modern weaponry simultaneously enhances combat effectiveness while generating new security risks, thereby confirming the need for a balanced approach to its development and use.
